Lagartija Nick, a Spanish rock band from Granada, was formed in 1991 with Antonio Arias on vocals and bass, Juan Codorníu on guitar, Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Pareja on guitar, and Eric Jiménez on drums. Their debut album, Hipnosis, released the same year, marked their breakthrough moment. In 1992, they signed with CBS-Sony and released Inercia. The band's sound evolved over the years, from punk and rock to a darker, more industrial style. Notable albums include Omega (1996), which featured collaborations with flamenco artists and poems by Federico García Lorca, and Val del Omar (1998), inspired by the works of José Val del Omar. The band has undergone several lineup changes over the years, including the departures of Codorníu and Pareja. Lagartija Nick has continued to release albums and perform live, with notable releases such as Crimen, sabotaje y creación (2017) and El Perro Andaluz (2022).
