Muchy, a Polish rock band, was founded in 2004 in Poznań by Michał Wiraszko, Piotr Maciejewski, and Szymon Waliszewski. The group's early breakthrough came with the release of their debut single "Miasto Ekspensiń," which reached number 7 on the Polish Radio Program 3 charts in May 2007. Their first album, Terroromans, was released later that year and received critical acclaim, winning multiple awards including Band of the Year and Album of the Year at Pulp magazine's "Miazga 2007" awards. In 2010, Muchy released their second album, Notoryczni Debiutanci, which included the hit single "Przesilenie" that topped several music charts. The band performed on major Polish festivals and was the first Polish act to play on the main stage of Open'er Festival twice. In 2012, they released their third album, Chcecicospowiedziec, which featured a mockumentary about the band. Throughout their career, Muchy received numerous awards and nominations, including four Fryderyk nominations.
