Not Squares was an Irish electronic dance-punk band from Belfast. Formed in 2008 with Michael Kinloch, Keith Winter, Ricki O’Rawe, and Rachel Keenan. They released the 2009 EP WROK, blending punk and dance rhythms. Their debut album, Yeah OK, was released in 2010 on the Richter Collective to mixed reviews. After Rachel Keenan’s departure, the band shifted to an electronic sound, culminating in the 2015 album Bolts on Strange Bew, which earned a shortlist spot for the Northern Ireland Music Prize for Best Album. The band toured the UK, Ireland, Europe, and Asia, playing festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, Latitude, and Electric Picnic, and recorded BBC and Radio Ulster sessions.
