The SlimP, a German alternative and wave band from Cologne, was formed in 2003 by Elisa Day, Bernd, Mart, and Silke. In 2004, they released their debut EP Masquerade independently. The following year, the band collaborated with a new guitarist for live performances and studio recordings, resulting in the album Some Seconds Later (2005). To celebrate their five-year anniversary in 2008, The SlimP remastered their first two albums and released them as Recall 2003-2005 (2008) through Af Music. In 2009, they released Wavelands, which featured more mature songs. After a period of reduced live activity due to family commitments, The SlimP returned in the 2020s with several smaller concerts. In April 2025, they signed with Aenaos Records and released their first single "Nothing to Forget" in June of the same year.
