Bad Jokers is an Italian rock band from the Ahrntal in South Tyrol, Italy, active in the Deutschrock genre. The group was formed in 1992 by guitarists and friends Georg Kirchler and Markus Seeber, who were joined by drummer Florian Mairl and bassist Kurt "Jason" Kelderer. Initially performing as a cover band, they dissolved briefly in 1996 after Mairl departed. In 1998, the band reformed with new drummer Klaus Innerbichler to record a track for the compilation album Rock'n Toul, which featured bands from the Ahrntal. Beginning in 2000, they began writing original songs with German lyrics, releasing their first two studio albums, Bastard in 2000 and Wölfe in 2001, through the label of Newport Studios in St. Lorenzen. Bad Jokers went on to release the album III through the publisher Sudton Verlag in 2004, and bassist Walter "Chainless" Mutschlechner joined the lineup in 2008.
