Born and raised in Bogdanci, Macedonia, ANGIE is an emerging pop/alternative and ethno-rock artist, songwriter and composer with heavy cinematic and theatrical influences. Known to combine her love for blues-related music with traditional Macedonian music that she grew up listening to, ANGIE blends genres and delivers a new and fresh sound.
The mission ANGIE has as an artist and songwriter is to bridge the gap between the western styles she finds herself in like blues, rock and alternative with eastern traditional sounds of Macedonian music that live in her. She believes music is a powerful tool with the ability to do great things, and she hopes to bring attention to problems she believes are important, contribute to keeping the music of Macedonia alive and tell her people’s stories with all the music she writes, composes and performs.
