Digitalis Purpurea is the professional moniker of Cris Gutter, also known as Cristian Pi Greco, an Italian electronic musician and producer from Turin, Italy. He is famous for founding the eponymous electro-industrial project Digitalis Purpurea. Pi Greco has released recordings under the project since the early 2000s, including the 2003 demo Pi Squad. His discography includes the studio recordings Aseptic White (2008), Emotional Decompression Chamber (2010), and AnnA (2017). He has also released several EPs, including 30-Hole and Fred Perry (2012) and Pastel Dissonances (2016), the latter of which featured the single “The Mesmeric Lights of Vegas”. In 2018, he collaborated with Keith Hillebrandt and Fabrizio Giannese on the single “Maneater”, which later appeared on the soundtrack for the 2020 Italian film Quid. Pi Greco has performed at numerous clubs and festivals throughout Europe.
