Kings Go Forth, a ten-piece soul band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was formed in 2007 by Andy Noble. The group's sound drew heavily from 1970s soul and employed production techniques common to that era. Before signing with Luaka Bop, Kings Go Forth released several 7" singles. Their debut full-length album, The Outsiders Are Back, was released in 2010, featuring the single "Don't Take My Shadow". The band's lineup included Andy Noble (bass), Dan Flynn (guitar), Jeremy Kuzniar (drums), Dave Cusma (trombone), Jed Groser (trumpet), Dave Wake (keyboards), Cecilio Negron Jr. (percussion), Danny Fernandez (vocals), Matt Norberg (vocals), and Black Wolf (vocals). The group disbanded in 2011, with vocalist Black Wolf passing away on May 21, 2023, in a house fire.
