Eyes Shut Tight, a German alternative rock band from Hamburg, was formed in mid-2007 by Dirk "Trashedsoul" Wieczorek and former guitarist Kris. Their first song, "Mother Darksome", uploaded to Myspace, garnered over 10,000 listens. The band's debut album, Secret Destroyer, was released in 2010 by Danse Macabre Records. In 2011, their second album, Fairground Zero, was produced by Lars Oppermann. Lineup changes occurred in 2011 when Wieczorek and Kris parted ways. John Smith joined as a new guitarist, and Jan Peter Genkel produced the EP The Outlaws, released in 2012. Their third album, Banished From Paradise, was released by Hall of Sermon (Sony Music) in 2014. The band continued to perform, including supporting Lord of the Lost's 2015 tour, Make Love Make War, and their own Banished and Gone tour in 2016.
