Vanilla Sky are an Italian pop-punk band formed in Rome in 2002 by vocalist-guitarists Daniele Brian Autore and Vincenzo Mario Cristi, bassist Francesco Sarsano, and drummer Luca Alessandrelli. Their self-released debut EP, Play It If You Can't Say It, appeared in 2002 and led to a contract with Wynona Records, which issued the split album Too Loud for You in 2003. Vanilla Sky released their debut studio album, Waiting for Something, in 2004, followed by Changes in 2007, the latter featuring the single "Break It Out". In 2009, lineup changes brought in drummer Jacopo Volpe and bassist Antonio Filippelli. The band subsequently issued the studio albums Fragile in 2010 and The Band Not the Movie in 2012, while touring across Europe, Japan, and the United States alongside acts such as The Offspring.
