Sabine Gerling, known professionally as Lumaraa, was born on May 12, 1991, in Landshut, Germany. As a teenager, she developed an interest in rap music and began her career by moving to Berlin, where she started rapping and gained initial recognition with her mixtape Der Anfang einer neuen Zeit. Lumaraa's first studio album, Mädchensache, was released in 2012. Her breakthrough came with the release of her second album, Gib mir mehr, in 2016, which peaked at number 27 on the German charts. The album featured collaborations with Fader Gladiator and Ozan. Lumaraa's notable singles include "Oldschool (Ehrenwörter)" (2014) and "Kalte Tage" (2015). She embarked on several tours, including the Kämpfernat(o)ur tour in 2015 and the Gib-mir-mehr tour in 2016. Lumaraa continued to release albums such as Ladies First (2017) and Zu persönlich (2019), further solidifying her presence in the German rap scene.
