Raghav Sachar is an Indian singer, composer and film scorer born in 1981 in Kolkata, India. He began playing the harmonica at age four and later attended the Monash Conservatory of Music in Melbourne where he majored in jazz. Sachar was awarded the Golden Key Award and the Earnest Award for academic excellence in 2000 and 2001. He released his debut album, Raghav, For the First Time, in 2003 through the label His Master's Voice. In 2009, he founded his own label, Raghav Sachar Music, and has released albums including Ishq Ki Subha (2012) and the single "Gulabi Ankhen" (2013). Sachar debuted as a music director for the film Kabul Express in 2005 and has played numerous instruments in more than 150 films. He performed at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in 2010 and has collaborated with composers including A.R. Rahman and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
