Metallspürhunde, a Swiss electronic rock group, was formed in 1998 by Michel Frasse and Peter Graf. The band's name is derived from the mine-detecting dogs used during the Vietnam War. In 1999, they released their self-titled debut album, Metallspürhunde, and began touring in Germany and Switzerland. Their subsequent albums included Preview2 (2001), Blut und Spiele (2003), Amokmensch (2006), Böse Wetter (2009), and Moloch (2011). Between 2004 and 2016, Metallspürhunde was signed to the German label Danse macabre. In 2013, they formed a side project called Das war Krach, releasing a single and an album titled Protokino. After switching labels to Trisol Music Group and darkTunes in 2016, Metallspürhunde released Giftbox (2017) and the EP Kater (2019). Notable singles included "Was hat dich bloss so ruiniert" (2007).
