Quiet Girl is an alternative metal band from Lübeck, Germany, formed in early 2024. The trio — Nele (guitar & vocals), Merle (bass & vocals) and Ina (drums) — deliberately turns the stereotype behind their name upside down. Quiet Girl is anything but quiet: their music is loud, raw and uncompromising.
Their sound combines the rebellion of punk, the heaviness of metal and the introspective edge of post-grunge. Driven by heavy riffs, deep bass lines and dynamic tempo changes, Quiet Girl creates an intense and immediate energy — especially on stage, where their performances leave a strong impact.
Beyond the music, Quiet Girl stands for visibility and gender equality in a still male-dominated music scene. Drawing from their own experiences with discrimination and sexism, the band uses music as a form of resistance and empowerment. Their songs encourage young women to be confident, take up space and fight for their dreams.
In 2025, Quiet Girl recorded their first songs with producer Lasse Lammert. These releases are accompanied by narrative short films exploring themes such as discrimination, self-doubt and empowerment. Their debut EP “Don’t Be Quiet” was released in February 2026.
With a clear stance, youthful intensity and growing artistic maturity, Quiet Girl is establishing itself as one of Germany’s most exciting new rock acts.
