Hoven Droven, a Swedish folk group from Östersund, was formed in 1989. The group is known for their hard rock arrangements of old Swedish folk songs, and their name translates to "no importance" or "doesn't matter." Hoven Droven released their debut album Hia-Hia in 1994, followed by Grov in 1996. The band's discography includes notable albums such as Hippa (2001) and Turbo (2004). Throughout their career, Hoven Droven has been distributed by NorthSide Records in the United States, showcasing their unique blend of folk and rock elements. Their musical style gained significant recognition with the release of Jumping at the Cedar in 2006, which was nominated for a Swedish Grammis Award in the folk music category, and they also released their album, Rost, in 2011.
