Hooded Menace is a Finnish death-doom band formed in Joensuu in 2007 by guitarist Lasse Pyykkö. Their early career began with the release of their two-track demo The Eyeless Horde (2007), followed by their debut album Fulfill the Curse (2008). The band's breakthrough came with their sophomore full-length album, Never Cross the Dead (2010). The group released subsequent albums, including Effigies of Evil (2012), Darkness Drips Forth (2015), Ossuarium Silhouettes Unhallowed (2018), The Tritonus Bell (2021), and Lachrymose Monuments of Obscuration (2025). They toured in Europe and North America, performing at major metal festivals such as Hellfest, Roadburn, and Maryland Deathfest. The band's music blended elements of death metal and doom metal, drawing influences from acts like Candlemass, Cathedral, Paradise Lost, Asphyx, and Winter.
