Dragons were a Bristol‑based English rock band formed in 2005 by drummer David Francolini. Originally a studio project recorded at Francolini's Ohm Recordings studio, the group expanded with former Dark Star and Levitation members Christian Hayes, Laurence O'Keefe, and bassist Joe Allen for early live shows. The lineup stabilized with Adam Coombs on synthesizer, Calvin Talbot and Will Crewdson on guitars, and Jim Fage on bass. In 2007, the band released their debut album Here Are the Roses, followed by the EP Lonely Tonight in October 2007. Their sweeping indie‑rock sound drew comparisons to Joy Division and Editors.
