Arma Gathas, a German metal band, was formed in 2006 by Simon Füllemann. Initially a side project of Füllemann, who was also a founding member of Cataract, the band began to take shape in early 2009 with the addition of Ché Selting (formerly of Born from Pain), Marc Niedersberg (Machinemade God), and Max von Winkelhoff (formerly of Disloyal). The lineup was completed in late January 2010 with the inclusion of Alex "Lahnsteiner" Härtel of Blessed by Hate. Arma Gathas released their debut album, Dead to this World, in 2010. The concept album featured 13 tracks composed by Simon Füllemann and lyrics written by Ché Selting. Recorded with Sky van Hoff (Caliban, Machinemade God), who also handled the final mix, the album was mastered by Alan Douches (Suffocation, Beneath the Massacre). The artwork was created by Thomas Ewerhardt, known for his work with bands like Amon Amarth and Brainstorm.
