froSTed was an American pop punk band active during the 1990s. The ensemble was founded in 1995 by Jane Wiedlin, a former member of the group The Go-Go's, and based its name on the capitalized letters S and T as a tribute to the television program Star Trek. The group consisted of Wiedlin, guitarist Brian Waters, bassist Sean Demott and drummer Lance Porter. Chuck Bernal was also a member of the ensemble. The band performed live in Los Angeles and San Francisco before releasing its debut studio album, Cold, in 1996. The record was co-produced by Marc Waterman and featured the tracks “Bed” and “Call Me Crazy”. Four songs on the album were co-written with Charlotte Caffey, and the recording featured guest performances by Rachel Haden and cellist Gerri Sutyak. The group gave its final performance in March 1998 at the venue 14 Below in Santa Monica. The ensemble became inactive in 1998.
