Raça Pura, a Brazilian pagode baiano group from Salvador, Bahia, gained prominence with their debut album O pinto (1999). The album's title track "O pinto" became a significant hit, propelling the group to fame and earning them a gold certification for selling over 100,000 copies in Brazil. The group disbanded in 2001. Lead singer Denny Palma, who had been with the band since its inception in 1993, rejoined Raça Pura in 2019, marking a return to their musical endeavors.
