Richard A. Dworsky is an American pianist, composer, and music director who was born in the United States in 1953. He is famous for his long-standing tenure as the music director and pianist for the radio variety show A Prairie Home Companion and for his work on the film of the same name. Dworsky performed weekly on the program as the pianist and bandleader for Guy’s All-Star Shoe Band. In 2006, he served as the pianist, conductor, arranger, and composer for the film A Prairie Home Companion, in which he also appeared as the bandleader. His discography includes contributions to the radio show's live recordings and the film's soundtrack. Dworsky performed on the final regular episode of the show in 2016 alongside the regular cast.
