Ghada Shbeir, born on February 7, 1972, in Beirut, Lebanon, is a Lebanese singer and musicologist specializing in Oriental and traditional music. She studied musicology and Oriental singing at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik and received first prize in Egypt in 1997. Her notable works include the albums Qawaleeb, Al Qasida, and Muwashahat. She also released three CDs of Syriac Maronite chants, such as "Syriac Hymns", "Passion", and "Cyrix Hymns; Noel". In 2007, Muwashahat won the BBC World Music Award for the Middle East and North Africa.
