Diabulus in Musica is a Spanish symphonic metal band from Pamplona, formed in 2006. The group initially consisted of Zuberoa Aznárez, Gorka Elso, Adrián Vallejo, and Jorge Arca, who later completed the band with drummer Santi Fernández. In 2009, Fernández was replaced by Xabier Jareño, and bassist Álex Sanz also joined. That same year, the band released its debut EP, Secrets, which featured songs that subsequently became part of its debut studio album, Secrets (2010), released under Metal Blade Records. The group followed this with The Wanderer (2012) under Napalm Records, which featured collaborations with Mark Jansen of Epica, Maite Itoiz, and John Kelly. Its third album, Argia (2014), included guest appearances by Ailyn of Sirenia and Thomas Vikström of Therion. In 2016, the band released Dirge for the Archons, which included live bonus recordings from a concert with the orchestra of the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Navarra and the Coral de Cámara de Navarra. The group subsequently released Euphonic Entropy (2020) under Napalm Records and also published several singles, including “Sceneries of Hope” (2012) and “Otoi” (2019).
