Bruno Leonardo Gelber, born on March 19, 1941, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is an Argentine pianist. He began studying piano at age three and a half under his mother's guidance and later with Vincenzo Scaramuzza. At ten years old, he debuted publicly performing Beethoven’s Concerto for Piano No. 3. In 1959, Gelber made his international debut in Munich, which was highly praised by critics. He continued his studies in Paris with Marguerite Long and later moved to Monaco. Throughout his career, Gelber performed over five thousand concerts worldwide, collaborating with notable conductors such as Ernest Ansermet and George Szell, and orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic and the New York Philharmonic. Gelber received numerous awards, including the Premio Konex in 1989 and 1999 for best Argentine pianist of the decade.
