83 was a Canadian hip‑hop collective founded in 2001 in Lévis, Quebec, by Frédéric Auger and Simon Valiquette of Taktika, with members Pagail (Jonathan Lemoine), La Constellation (Francis Belleau, Jérôme Allard), Taktika (Frédéric Auger, Simon Valiquette), and Canox (Olivier Dallaire). The group emerged from the 1996 single, which unified the original MCs and sparked a regional movement. They released Hiphop 101 in 2001, followed by La Suite Logique (2002), Le Dernier Chapitre (2004), and a 2009 double‑album Hip Hop 102 that included six new tracks and greatest hits. After a brief hiatus, the collective returned with Récidivistes in 2020. They had the highest‑selling Quebec hip‑hop catalog after Loco Locass and Dubmatique, and their 2002 appearance by 2Faces at ADISQ helped establish the annual hip‑hop album award.
