Baby Jail, a Swiss pop rock band formed in 1985 under the initial name Bébés Phoques, consisted of Boni Koller, Bice Aeberli, Peter «Pesche» Muster, and Rolf Eberle. Their debut album Bébé Gel was released in 1989. The band gained attention for their satirical approach to music, most notably with "Tubel Trophy" (1992), which addressed themes of racism and intolerance. Baby Jail disbanded in May 1994 but reunited in 2003 for a concert in Zürich and released the compilation album Auf Wiedersehen. They reformed again in 2012, releasing new material including "Zemäntfabrik" (2012) and the album Grüsse aus dem Grab (2014).
