Circus Devils was an American psychedelic rock band formed in 2001 by Robert Pollard, Todd Tobias, and Tim Tobias. The group began as a side project for Pollard, known for his work with Guided by Voices. Their music spanned various styles, often featuring unsettling fictional tales of horror. Their debut album Ringworm Interiors was released in 2001, showcasing an experimental approach. Notable subsequent albums include Sgt. Disco (2007), released on Mike Patton’s Ipecac Recordings label, and Mother Skinny (2010). In 2015, the band released Sunflower Wildman. Circus Devils disbanded in 2017 but reunited in 2023, releasing Squeeze the Needle (2023).
