Humo del Cairo was an Argentine rock group formed in Ramos Mejía, Gran Buenos Aires, at the end of 2004. The band's initial lineup included Gustavo Bianchi on bass, Juan Manuel Diaz on guitar and vocals, and Javier Murillo Gorchs on drums. Their debut album Humo del Cairo was released in 2007, blending stoner rock and psychedelic influences. The band gained recognition through performances at major festivals such as Pepsi Music and Personal Fest. Their second album, Vol. II, was released in October 2011, featuring a heavier sound and in 2014, Humo del Cairo released two EPs, EP1: Preludio and Imaginario. After a hiatus due to internal tensions, the band returned in December 2017 with Franco Salvador on drums and completed their trilogy of EPs with Epílogo. Humo del Cairo's final performance took place at Cosquín Rock 2018.
