Slim Cessna's Auto Club, an alternative country band from Denver, Colorado, was formed in 1992 by Slim Cessna. The group emerged from the breakup of the Denver Gentlemen, a band that included David Eugene Edwards and Jeffery-Paul Norlander of 16 Horsepower. The band was known for their apocalyptic and religious lyrics. Their debut album, Slim Cessna's Auto Club, was self-released in 1995 and later reissued by Alternative Tentacles in 2001. In 1998, they released their first live album, American Country Music Changed Her Life. The band released Always Say Please And Thank You in 2000, which featured long-time collaborators Munly Munly and Lord Dwight Pentecost. Subsequent albums included The Bloudy Tenent Truth Peace (2004), Jesus Let Me Down (2005), and Cipher (2008). In 2013, they released SCAC 102 An Introduction For Young and Old Europe through Glitterhouse Records.
