Blitz Kids were a British rock band from Nantwich and Crewe, Cheshire, England. Formed in 2006 by Joe James, Jono Yates, Nic Montgomery, Billy Evanson, and Eddie Hawx, they initially went by Rig Up Explosive before changing to Blitz Kids in 2009. The band released two EPs on LAB Records prior to their debut album, Vagrants & Vagabonds, which was released in July 2011, under Hassle Records. In 2012, Evanson and Hawx left the band due to personal issues and Matt Freer joined as the new drummer. Their second album, The Good Youth, was recorded in Los Angeles with John Feldmann and released in January 2014 under Red Bull Records. Blitz Kids announced their disbandment on July 3, 2015 and performed two farewell shows in October before officially breaking up.
