Jah Works, a roots reggae band from Baltimore, Maryland, was formed in 1993 by students at Loyola College while studying abroad in Belgium. The band's name is derived from the song “Jah Works” by The Gladiators. Their early career saw the release of their debut album Feast or Famine in 1994. Jah Works gained recognition as performers for U.S. troops through Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) starting in 2002, including shows in Hawaii, South Korea, Japan, and the Middle East. Notable albums include Send the Rain (1996), Bassmentality (2001), and Believe (2016). Their extensive touring and live performances have solidified their presence in the reggae scene, contributing to the genre's cultural impact.
