Jamestown Story is an American acoustic-based music project created by Dane Schmidt, a singer-songwriter from Minneapolis, Minnesota after releasing his first album in 2003 under the name And Then I Turned Seven. The band's lineup evolved through various members, including Pat Tarnowski, Kieren Smith, Trevor McKenzie, Chris Lee, Sam Dean, Chad Snell, and Brandyn Anderson. In 2007, they released their first full-length album Broken Summer. Notable releases include "In Loving Memory" (2007) featured on TV shows like One Tree Hill in 2008 and The Secret Life of the American Teenager, as well as Love vs. Life (2008) which sold over 70,000 copies on an online music service.
