Tom Liwa

Thomas Greiner, known professionally as Tom Liwa, was born on October 25, 1961, in Duisburg, Germany. Liwa is a singer-songwriter and a founding member of the band Flowerpornoes, formed in 1986. The group released albums with English lyrics including Make Up (1987) and As Trivial As Life and Death (1990) before disbanding. Liwa toured with Blumfeld and contributed to the Tim Isfort Orchester,,. In 2000, he released the solo album St. Amour. Flowerpornoes reunited in 2005 and released Wie oft musst du vor die Wand laufen bis der Himmel sich auftut? (2007). Liwa cites Joni Mitchell’s Hejira as a major influence. His discography also includes the album Eine andere Zeit (2022).
