Kristeen Young is an American singer-songwriter and pianist born in 1975 in St. Louis, Missouri. She began playing the piano as a child and released her debut studio album, Meet Miss Young and Her All Boy Band, in 1997. In the early 2000s, she began a long-term collaboration with producer Tony Visconti. Her recording history included the albums Breasticles (2003), which featured a duet with David Bowie titled “Saviour”, and X (2004), which included a collaboration with Brian Molko on the song “No Other God”. Young has also appeared on other artists' recordings, including Bowie's album Heathen (2002) and the Morrissey single “That's How People Grow Up” (2008). Her seventh studio album, The Knife Shift, appeared in 2014 and featured contributions from Dave Grohl.
