JENIX is a German rock group formed in 2003 in Zittau by vocalist Jenny Böttcher and musicians Tobias Krostack, Ferdinand Hepper, and Jan Linke, who met in a local big band. The band’s early performances consisted of covers before adopting the name “JENIX” in 2004 and writing original material in English and German. Their breakthrough came in 2006 when they won several regional band competitions and served as support for the German rock act Silbermond, gaining broader exposure. In 2007 JENIX participated in the Coca-Cola Soundwave Discovery Tour and performed at the Hurricane Festival, expanding their touring profile. The single "Here We Go Again" was released in 2011, entering the German charts at number 95, and the same year the debut album Kill the Silence was issued, featuring the track "Catch Fire" as the title song for the International German Motorcycle Championship. In 2014 the group released the second album Circles, preceded by the single "We Are So Young", and embarked on an eleven‑city tour. Throughout their career JENIX released a collaborative charity single with Silbermond in 2010 and established their own label, JNX‑Records, in October 2010, allowing them greater artistic control.
