Silent Civilian is an American metalcore and thrash metal ensemble formed in 2005 in Los Angeles, California. Frontman Jonny Santos established the group following his 2004 departure from the nu metal band Spineshank. The band released its debut studio recording, Rebirth of the Temple, on May 2, 2006, through Mediaskare Records. The recording sold over 25,000 copies in the United States and reached number 75 on the German charts. The lineup included Santos, Matt Bredemeier, Robbie Young, and Alex Morgan. The ensemble released the studio recording Ghost Stories on May 18, 2010. Following a period of inactivity, the group released the recording “My Addiction” in December 2022. In January 2023, the band released the track “De La Muerte” as a single for the upcoming studio album The Reckoning.
