Olena Topolia is a Ukrainian singer and songwriter born in 1986 in Zaporizhia. Born Olena Oleksandrivna Kucher, she studied vocals at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts and signed with Catapult Music in 2008. Topolia represented Ukraine at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Sweet People", where she finished in 10th place. The single reached number 73 on the Swiss charts. Her recording history included the studio album A World Outside Your Door (2010) and the two-part record Tochka na karte (2015). During her career, she has frequently collaborated with the musician Vlad Darwin. In 2011, she received the Singer of the Year award at the Favorites of Success in Ukraine. She performed under the stage name Alyosha until October 2023, when she began using the name Olena Topolia.
