The Gonads

The Gonads, a UK musical group from London, originated as a fictional Oi! band described by Garry Bushell in 1979. The project initially involved Bushell and members of the Business, including Steve Kent, Martin Smith, and Nick Cunningham. Their first notable release was the track "Tuckers Ruckers Ain’t no Suckers" on the third Oi!-sampler Carry on Oi!! in 1981. Following this, they released several EPs including Pure Punk for Row People (1982) and Peace Artists (1982). The band's live album, Live-The Official Bootleg, was released in 1984. After a hiatus, the group reformed in 1990 with a new lineup that included Clyde Ward, Colin Blood, and Casano Kev. They continued to release albums such as Oi! ... Back and Barking (1999), Schiz-Oi!-Phrenia (2001), and Old Boots No Panties (2006).
