Kay Ray, born Kai Lüdtke on September 12, 1965, in Georgsmarienhütte, is a German cabaret artist, entertainer, and singer. Ray began his career in Hamburg, working at the Pulverfass Cabaret before presenting his first solo program in 1996. His performances often featured a blend of humor and music, with covers of popular songs from artists like Milva and Billy Joel, frequently altered for comedic effect. He released the single "So ein Mann - So ein Man" and several collaborative albums, including Emerge with The Spacecakes, War das Alles? (2011) featuring Candy Race, Acoustic EP (2014) with his Kay Ray Band, and Mauerwerk with Falk Effenberger. His career spanned various venues including Schmidts Tivoli and Gruenspan in Hamburg, as well as appearances on television shows such as Roglers rasendes Kabarett: Pfanntastisch and the 3sat Festival.
