Rebecca Carrington, born on January 17, 1971 in Epsom, Surrey, England, is an English music comedian. She began playing the piano at age four and switched to the cello two years later under her grandmother's influence. Carrington studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and earned a Master of Music from Rice University in Houston, Texas. Her early career as a cellist included performances with notable orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. In 2003, she released her album Me And My Cello, marking her debut release as a music comedian. Carrington gained significant recognition for her comedic performances, winning the Arosa Schneestern in December 2006 and the Schwerter Kleinkunstpreis in 2009 for her program Me And My Cello.
