Roma di Luna is an American folk/Americana group from Minneapolis, Minnesota, formed in 2004. The group began as a husband-and-wife duo comprising Alexei Casselle of Kill the Vultures and Channy Leaneagh, later of Poliça, before expanding into a seven-piece band. They released four records, including their final album, We Were Made to Forgive, in 2018. Casselle and Leaneagh met in high school and began performing together in 2004, initially busking at farmers' markets in Minneapolis. Their music blended folk, blues, soul, gospel, and rock, drawing on Eastern European folk traditions and the couple's shared Native American heritage. The duo released the EP Face of My Friends in 2006, followed by their debut album, Find Your Way Home, in 2007. They expanded into a full band and released Casting the Bones in 2008, followed by Then the Morning Came in 2010. Casselle and Leaneagh divorced in 2011, bringing Roma di Luna's original run to an end. The group reunited in 2017 for a benefit concert supporting Honor the Earth, an organization focused on environmental and Indigenous issues. Their fourth album, We Were Made to Forgive, followed in 2018, combining new material with previously unreleased songs recorded before the band's breakup.
