The Iron Maidens, an American all-female heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California, was formed in 2001 by Jenny Warren and Melanie Sisneros as a tribute to British heavy metal band Iron Maiden. In 2005, they released their debut album World’s Only Female Tribute to Iron Maiden. This was followed by Route 666 in 2007. The band toured extensively, opening for acts such as Kiss and Cypress Hill, and received occasional guest appearances from notable musicians like Alex Skolnick of Testament and Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead. In 2010, they released the live album Metal Gathering Tour - Live in Japan 2010.
