Hilde Louise Asbjørnsen, born on June 3, 1976, in Sykkylven, Norway, is a Norwegian jazz singer and songwriter. She received early training in piano and experience in gospel choir singing. Asbjørnsen moved to Oslo in 1996 to study theater at the University of Oslo, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2001. During her studies, she co-founded the cabaret duo Asbjørnsen & Joh. with Lene Kongsvik Johansen. Asbjørnsen began writing her own songs in 2000 and released her debut album Eleven Nights and Two Early Mornings in 2004. She released numerous albums, including Birdie Blues (2005) and No vil eg vake med deg (2006). Asbjørnsen received the Komiprisen award for Best Female Artist/Revue and Comedy in 2011.
