Nisse Ingwersen, known professionally as Nisse, is a German singer-songwriter. Ingwersen began his musical journey in Hamburg’s Harburg district, where a year of schooling in the United Kingdom sparked an interest in rap. After returning to Hamburg at age 17, Ingwersen formed a short-lived hip-hop group before turning to solo songwriting and production, completing an Abitur and training as a media clerk. Four Music signed Ingwersen, and the debut album August was released on September 4, 2015, preceded by the single “Herz auf Beat” on July 1, 2015. Ingwersen also released the studio albums Wie ein Mann (2017) and Ciao (2018). Other singles include “Taxi” on July 20, 2018, and “Ich bereue nichts” on December 29, 2022. Ingwersen wrote for artists such as Peter Maffay and Matthias Schweighöfer, and co-authored Michael Schulte’s “You Let Me Walk Alone”, which placed number 4 at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Since 2020, Ingwersen is the host of the internet series Sounds Of.
