Linea Aspera is an English electronic music group formed in November 2011 by Alison Lewis and Ryan Ambridge. The duo, with Lewis handling vocals and lyrics while Ambridge composed electronic music and managed studio production, released their self-titled EP Linea Aspera in January 2012, gaining international recognition within the dark wave scene. This led to label signings with No Emb Blanc and Dark Entries Records, who released their debut album Linea Aspera in September 2012. The album received critical acclaim, praised for its minimal synth and cold wave elements. Linea Aspera performed at several concerts, including the Graunzone Festival in Amsterdam, before disbanding in January 2013. The group announced their comeback in 2019 and played their first show in the U.S. in October 2022 in New York City's Saint Vitus Bar.
