Formed in Leeds in 2024, The North is a British quartet made up of Billy Memphis (vocals, guitar), Kobi Griggs (guitar), Mecca Boylan (bass) and Sian Keates (drums). Originally from Scarborough, Billy Memphis moved to Leeds at the age of 16. From their beginnings on the local scene, the band forged a solid reputation and recorded a number of singles, including "Blood Orange" and the EP of the same name, before signing with Communion Records. 2026 saw the release of "Can't Sleep", followed by the Kev Jones-produced Coming of Age EP, whose eponymous track reached #14 in the UK singles chart.
