Promocionando nueva música
Coiffeur is the musical project of Argentine musician Guillermo Alonso, who began playing guitar in childhood and studied music at the Antonio Ginastera Conservatory in Morón. The project began in 2005 with a self-produced, self-recorded CD-R. He performed across Argentina, as well as in Montevideo, Santiago de Chile, and Mexico, sharing stages with artists including Gabo Ferro, Dani Umpi, Javiera Mena, Gepe, Miranda!, Julieta Venegas, and Kings of Convenience. His debut album, Primer Corte (2005), focused on falling in love and idealizing the object of affection, followed by No Es (2006). Rolling Stone Argentina selected him as its breakthrough artist of 2005. His subsequent releases included El Barril de los Danaides (2009) and the Nada EP (2012). Beginning with Nada, he sound moved toward more electronic territory, a direction further developed on Conquista de lo Inútil (2013), which incorporated programmed rhythms. He continued this evolution with the Coordenadas EP (2016) and Eclipse (2019).
