Gabriela Konstancja Kulka-Stajewska, known professionally as Gabriela Kulka, was born in 1979 in Warsaw, Poland. She is a Polish artist, performer, and songwriter from a family of musicians. Her father is a violinist and professor. Initially trained in violin for eight years, she later shifted to piano for songwriting and performances. Her early albums, Between Miss Scylla and a Hard Place (2003) and Out (2006), were independently produced. In 2009, her album Hat, Rabbit, released by Mystic Production, achieved gold status in Poland. Notable singles from this period include "Niejasności", "Kara Niny", and "Got a Song", which gained traction on alternative-oriented radio stations. That same year, she collaborated with Polish singer Konrad Kucz on the album Sleepwalk. Kulka's musical style blends dark musical theater with jazzy flair, influenced by artists such as Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Peter Gabriel, and Danny Elfman.
