Jennifer Kate Foster is an American singer-songwriter and musician. She began playing guitar at the age of eight and wrote her first song at sixteen, influenced by artists like James Taylor and Joni Mitchell. Foster's career started with performances at local coffee houses and clubs in Los Angeles. In 2003, she released her debut album Everybody’s Girl under American Garage Records, her independent label. Foster's second album, The Underdogs, was released in 2005 and featured collaborations with Jeff Trott. In 2008, Foster founded Fosterchild Records and released the single "Closer To Nowhere", which topped Number 1 on the LOGO channel charts for six months and was featured on MTV's The Hills.
