Barn Owl, an American experimental musical duo from San Francisco, California, was formed 006 by guitarists Jon Porras and Evan Caminiti. The pair met while attending San Francisco State University in 2005 and began recording music at home. Their first releases, the albums Barn Owl (2007) and Bridge to the Clouds (2007), along with the EP Raftf Serpents (2008), marked their initial steps in the music industry. In 2010, Barn Owl signed with Thrill Jockey and released Ancestral Star (2010) and Lost in the Glare (2011).
